A Party to Remember
On Friday 5th June 2026, we celebrated Signet Solutions' 30th Anniversary with colleagues past and present, valued clients, and company friends. It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our journey and celebrate the people who have helped shape Signet over the last three decades.
Although the weather was a little windy, it certainly didn't dampen spirits. The day began with guided tours of our training centre, giving guests who hadn't previously visited our practical facilities the chance to see first-hand what we do and learn more about the training we deliver.
Following the tours, guests enjoyed a delicious hog roast before an emotional speech from our Managing Director, Andy Knight. Andy paid tribute to his good friend and Signet Solutions founder, Jon Tillin, thanking him for establishing the business and trusting the team to continue building on his vision. Jon joined the celebrations and shared his own reflections on how far Signet Solutions has come over the past 30 years.
We were also delighted to welcome guest speaker Blane Judd - CEO of the IRSE, who spoke warmly about Signet, our training facilities, and the vital role signalling engineers play in keeping the railway moving safely and efficiently.
Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed a range of fun competitions, including guessing how many delegates have trained with Signet over the years and calculating the combined years of experience across our training team.
A special moment came when the anniversary cake was cut by members of the original Signet team, marking the milestone together. The cake, accompanied by plenty of jam and cream, proved a popular treat!
As the event drew to a close, guests left with a commemorative Signet Solutions goody bag and, we hope, some wonderful memories of the day. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the celebration so special.
The festivities continued into the evening as staff enjoyed an after-party featuring pizza, karaoke, and games. It was the perfect way to round off a memorable day and celebrate 30 years of Signet Solutions together.
