Terms And Conditions
Last updated: 31 July 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of signet-solutions.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
These terms cover use of this website only. They do not govern the supply of training. If you book a course with us, that booking will be subject to our separate booking and course terms, which we will provide to you at the time. Where those terms conflict with these, the booking terms take precedence in relation to the training itself.
2. Who we are
The Site is operated by Signet Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 03226990, with its registered office and training centre at Kelvin House, RTC Business Park, London Road, Derby, DE24 8UP. Our VAT number is GB 690395311.
You can contact us at enquiries@signet-solutions.com or on +44 (0)1332 343585.
3. Course information and technical content (important)
This section matters more than most, so please read it carefully.
Information on this Site is not training. Course outlines, syllabus documents, module descriptions, career pathway guidance and any technical or industry content published on the Site are provided for general information, to help you understand what our courses cover and decide which is appropriate. Reading them confers no competence, qualification, certification, sponsorship or authorisation of any kind, and they are not a substitute for completing a course, being assessed, or holding the certification required to work on railway infrastructure.
Nothing on this Site authorises you to carry out signalling work. Railway signalling design, installation, testing and maintenance are safety-critical activities governed by industry standards, competence requirements and the rules of the relevant infrastructure manager. You must not rely on any content on this Site as a basis for undertaking such work, or in place of the applicable standards, your employer's procedures, or formal assessment of your competence.
Career guidance is not a promise of employment. Our Career Pathways content describes routes into the industry in general terms. It is not careers advice tailored to your circumstances, not a statement of what any employer requires, and not a representation that completing any course will result in employment, sponsorship or a particular salary.
Course details may change. Course content, dates, locations, availability, durations, prerequisites and prices shown on the Site are indicative and may change without notice. Nothing on the Site is an offer capable of acceptance. A booking is only confirmed when we confirm it to you in writing.
References to industry standards. Where the Site refers to industry standards, modules or qualifications, those references are for identification only. Standards are set and revised by the relevant bodies, and you should always work from the current version issued by them.
4. Making an enquiry
You may submit an enquiry through the Site. When you do:
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to tell us if it changes.
- You must not submit an enquiry on behalf of another person without their authority.
- We will use your details in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract between us or reserve a place on any course.
We aim to respond to enquiries within one working day, but this is a service commitment rather than a contractual obligation.
5. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes connected with your interest in our training. You may view, download and print content for your own reference or for internal use within your organisation, provided you do not alter it and you keep any copyright or ownership notices intact.
You must not:
- Use the Site in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which it is stored, or any connected system, or otherwise commit an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
- Knowingly introduce viruses, trojans, worms or other malicious material, or attempt to damage or disrupt the Site.
- Systematically extract, scrape or harvest content from the Site, whether manually or by automated means.
- Carry out any text or data mining, web scraping or similar automated extraction of content from the Site, including for the purpose of developing or training any artificial intelligence system or model. We expressly reserve our rights in this respect and no such use is permitted.
- Reproduce, republish or distribute our course materials or syllabus documents commercially, or use them to deliver training, without our prior written consent.
We may suspend or withdraw access to the Site, in whole or in part, if you breach these terms.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the Site, including text, course outlines, syllabus documents, images, graphics, layout and design, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
The Signet Solutions name and logo are our trade marks. You may not use them without our written permission.
Where the Site refers to or reproduces material belonging to third parties, including infrastructure managers, standards bodies and awarding organisations, those rights remain with their respective owners.
The permission in section 5 to view, download and print content does not transfer any ownership to you and may be withdrawn.
7. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to other websites, including those of industry bodies and partner organisations. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites, do not endorse them, and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them. Your use of a third-party site is governed by that site's own terms.
8. Availability and accuracy
We aim to keep the Site available and its content accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee either.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or any part of the Site without notice, and we will not be liable to you if it is unavailable at any time or for any period.
You are responsible for configuring your own equipment and software to access the Site, and for using your own virus protection.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that:
- We exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations relating to the Site to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or from reliance on any content on it.
- In particular, and without limiting section 3, we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from any use of information on the Site in connection with signalling or other safety-critical work.
- If you use the Site in the course of a business, we will not be liable for loss of profits, loss of business, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of business opportunity.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
10. Privacy and cookies
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and we use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Please read both.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time by amending this page. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Please check this page from time to time; by continuing to use the Site you accept the terms in force at that time.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, their subject matter and their formation, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Site (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you live.
