Once completing your interim test, you are then able to go ahead with your recertification assessment.  This will be 3 years from the date of your full course.

Course Content and Learning Outcomes

This course is designed to reassess an individual’s knowledge, understanding, practical application and skills in carrying out Signal Maintenance Testing in accordance with the Signal Maintenance Testing Handbook (SMTH) and other relevant Network Rail standards.

Delegates will be assessed by practical tests observed by their assessor, along with associated written theory tests. Upon successful completion of the SMTH Practical Assessment, delegates will maintain their current Level 3 status on their Sentinel Card. Their Level 3 competency is valid for 36 months, upon which they will need to attend another SMTH Practical Assessment to maintain their competency.
