SFI Signal Failure Investigation Level 3 Tester
To understand the requirements of the SFI L3 tester and how to meet those requirements.
To ensure that the wrong side failure is investigated thoroughly and any additional tests above those already documented in any test plan are completed.
To understand how any instructions given the Level 2 tester are communicated clearly and understood.

Who Should Attend This Course?
To enable the delegate to meet the requirements of module 25 of 50035 competence standard, if they are going to be undertaking SFI L3 duties, of signing back unresolved and potentially high-risk wrong side failures. The course is a professional discussion around several wrong side failure scenarios, some real, some not, to ensure the full range of faults is discussed. This course is run by a previously qualified L3 tester.
Course Content and Learning Outcomes
Following successful completion of the course, the delegate will receive a certificate of attendance, stating the key knowledge and skills they have demonstrated. Competence is only awarded at mentorship level. A period of mentorship is required prior to being considered competent by the Route Engineer.
