This course is intended for signal engineers, who are Works Location Verification and Functional testers, to become Trackside Equipment Verification and Functional testers.

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, the delegate will be able to:
- Prepare to perform tests on trackside equipment
- Perform Verification of trackside equipment installation
- Perform Functional testing of trackside equipment including
- Track circuits
- Points
- Signals, AWS and TPWS
- Record and Document test activities
- Report errors identified during testing
Assessment and Certification
Achievement of the Course Outcomes will be assessed by a practical assessment.
The delegate’s achievement of the Course Outcomes will be confirmed by a certificate which will be forwarded to the nominated client contact following the course.
Pre-Requisites
A well prepared delegate is expected have
EITHER
- a Module 3BL competence
OR
- a Module 3c competence and a waiver from the Employer; and good knowledge of electrical Principles, sufficient Log Book evidence showing suitable work experience and be able to ‘read’ circuit diagrams.

Location: at our Derby training centre, or on your premises (access to equipment is a requirement of this course)
